Tik Tok

In 2017 ByteDance, a Beijing based company released Tik Tok for Android and IOS and it took the world by storm. Tik Tok for those of you who do not know is and app where you can create a video of yourself dancing with song dubbed over, the longer the app has been out the more creative the videos got, they moved from just simple dances to actual comedic skits. Now normally in the past these types apps, like musically, would fail within a couple months of the release date, but not Tik Tok since it’s been going on strongly for three years. The reason for its longevity is because it came out at time when people were really missing Vine, it’s superior predecessor. Nowadays this app has enhanced most friendships and kept us connected because younger generations love making these videos to show to their friends or to try and become what people are calling “Tik Tok famous”. About Me

Hello everyone my name is Tom Poole and I am from Long Island, NY and I am a sophomore here at High Point University. I am currently majoring in Popular Culture and Media Production to one hopefully join the Esports industry. With my hopes to one day find a job in Esports I thought it would be best for me to join our schools Esports team to get my foot in the door. I am the captain for High Point University's Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege team. I am also our schools Apex Legends captain and I’m aspiring to get a managerial position in the club next semester. After school I hope to move to California where Esports are more prevalent.
